Airports Plus offers an extensive offline database encompassing thousands of detailed global airports, enabling rapid search capabilities both on the ground and in flight. The application’s design ensures seamless usage across multiple devices: a single purchase grants access on both iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad, with optimized HD split-screen graphics, including satellite and standard map views.

Users can search via IATA, ICAO codes, airport names, or city names, with real-time search results appearing as input is typed. The app facilitates organizing favorite airports in a dedicated list and allows users to add personal annotations to each entry. Additionally, notes can be backed up or shared to enhance collaboration and record-keeping.

The database is maintained by user contributions specifically related to approach types; users can add or amend approach information for any runway. Contributions are immediately visible to all users, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at refining approach data on iOS devices.

The app provides instant access to current weather conditions (METAR/TAF) and VOLMET station reports worldwide, accessible with a single tap. Airport information pages include detailed data such as:

The database also details all runways with specifications such as:

<li>Displaced thresholds</li>
<li>Runway heading</li>
<li>Surface type</li>
<li>Lighting features</li>
</ul>

When connected to the internet, the app fetches the latest weather reports and displays airports on fullscreen maps that can be viewed in satellite, standard, or hybrid modes. This combination of features makes Airports Plus a versatile tool for aviation professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Please be aware that like other applications reliant on open source data sources, airport information may occasionally be outdated despite regular updates.
